About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Psychologist to join us at Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) as a Clinical Educator to make a real and positive difference to the education of our students and the future of regional healthcare in Queensland.

As the Clinical Educator in Psychology you will support high quality rural training experiences for undergraduate psychology students on placement within Darling Downs and South West Queensland across a variety of settings. You will be responsible for the clinical education direct supervision and facilitation of interprofessional learning opportunities of students as well as collaboration with healthcare providers supervisors and a broad range of stakeholders to build student placement capacity and quality.

This is a clinical academic role which offers a Psychologist a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop their clinical teaching and clinical research and a chance to participate in service and engagement activities within the university and wider professional community.

Please note you must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply (employersponsored work rights are not available for this appointment).

The successful candidate will also be required to complete mandatory immunisations and hold and maintain full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist and accreditation as a Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (you must have approval to supervise postgraduate psychology students ideally with practice endorsement in clinical and/or health psychology).
