Position Summary
This position is an integral part of our Security Team. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to positively represent Grant PUD while ensuring safe and secure recreation opportunities for our guests. The Recreation Security Officers are equal parts security officer and Grant PUD ambassador. The incumbent must consistently provide the degree of maturity emotional intelligence and situational awareness needed to deescalate situations that arise through the course of our recreation season. These positions fill a crucial role in the Grant PUD response and escalation continuum providing a mature and experienced presence deescalating minor or serious conflict situations and requesting Law Enforcement support when the situation calls for it. The Recreation Security Officers must always represent Grant PUD in a professional manner. The incumbent will interact with the public on a constant basis and will respond to threats to Grant PUD employees visitors or assets. The incumbent may be called on to participate or lead investigations. Due to the sensitive nature of this information the incumbent is required to exercise a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. This position requires a positive customerfocused attitude and the skills to assess complex interpersonal situations and take appropriate actions to diffuse these situations.
