Visy is powering the circular economy closing the loop between packaging remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years weve grown to 7000 employees and 150 global operations predominately in Australia and New Zealand.
We believe materials are not recycled until theyve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper cardboard glass plastics and metals from households and businesses and locally remanufacture them back into new sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealands food and beverage packaging industry.
Role Details:
This role is designed to support the business capabilities in costing and analytics. It will assist the National Commercial Manager with a wide range of pricing and costing tasks providing essential support to key stakeholders and enabling datadriven decisionmaking.
The opportunity:
The role is a fulltime position based at our site in Dandenong. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional growth allowing the successful candidate to demonstrate their communication skills problemsolving abilities and passion for continuous improvementqualities that are vital for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
Costing Data Preparation & Analytics: Supporting the manager in coordinating annual cost updates with the state business unit (BU) managers.
Customer tender commercial support tasks: Running profitability reports reviewing for inaccuracies and investigating of causation with corrective actions.
Review of contract activity analysing outcomes against business KPIs monthly and reporting findings to the direct manager.
Master data management: Updating cost rates regularly and in line with expected timings
Documentation and Development of Standard Operating Procedures for systems and processes
What you will bring to the team:
Undergraduate Degree in Commerce or equivalent degree
Minimum of 3 years in finance or commercial roles with costing exposure
Strong Communication skills
A passion for continuous improvement
Selfstarter essential
Advanced Excel Skills
Natural aptitude for learning new software tools
Experience in a costing environment preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
