Clinical Laboratory Manager

Lighthouse Lab Services is proud to partner with a critical access hospital located in the heart of Renovo PA. Nestled within the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds this community hospital provides essential healthcare services to a tightknit rural community. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Manager to join this dedicated team and help lead its laboratory operations with a focus on quality safety and patientcentered care.

Position Overview:
This is a day shift leadership position with some flexibility required based on departmental needs. The Lab Manager will oversee the daily operations of the laboratory provide strategic and operational leadership and ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory standards. A strong background in Chemistry and Hematology is preferred and prior experience in a critical access hospital setting is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all lab staff and manage personnel actions including hiring onboarding training performance reviews and staff development.

• Establish departmental goals and ensure alignment with hospital and community healthcare priorities.

• Lead and participate in hospitalwide initiatives task forces and quality improvement projects.

• Oversee daily lab operations including test workflow quality assurance and process improvements.

• Ensure full compliance with CLIA CAP OSHA and other relevant regulatory bodies.

• Develop and manage the departments budget in collaboration with hospital leadership.

• Serve as a liaison between the lab and medical/nursing staff providing clear and timely communication regarding lab services results and performance metrics.

• Promote a culture of safety collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology Clinical Lab Science Healthcare Administration or a related field.

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP NCA or equivalent per CLIA 88 requirements).

• Minimum of three 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a clinical lab.

• Working knowledge of LIS and common healthcare software.

• Valid drivers license and insurable under company policy.
