The Housing & Community Development Division in theDepartment of Community Neighborhood & Housing Services is seeking an experienced fulltime Program Coordinator to perform professional and administrative work implementing promoting and evaluating several of the Citys affordable housing programs including individual programs to help people rent or own affordable homes in Gaithersburg. The Program Coordinator strengthens and builds partnerships with agencies that help accomplish the Citys affordable housing goals and objectives maintains internal and external stakeholder relationships and explores additional funding or grant opportunities covering a wide range of needs; and takes a lead role in helping to determine information sharing and capacity building trainings for partners including lenders and realtors other governmental housing agencies and housing developers providing affordable housing through the Citys MPDU/WFDU program.
The ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills including communication and timeliness and a comprehensive working knowledge of affordable homeownership and rental programs. You must be an organized and analytical individual who exhibits a high degree of accuracy and pays attention to the details. Relevant experience in preparing writing and/or administering grants is preferred. The ability to fluently speak read and write in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Starting salary for this position is negotiable within the anticipated target hiring range $72000 to $80000 and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
