Junior Application Architect

PwC is looking for a Junior Application Architect to join our Cloud & Digital practice. The ideal candidate would have a technical background and at least 3 years proven experience in technologyenabled business transformation projects and programmes.

Qualifications / Certifications required:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field and / or Certifications such as:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

• Google Associate Cloud Engineer

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).

Experience required:

• 24 years of experience in software development or application architecture

• Handson experience with programming languages such as Java Python or .NET

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud

• Basic understanding of system integration and enterprise architecture principles

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

Responsibilities of role:

• Assist in designing application architectures to meet business requirements

• Collaborate with senior architects and development teams to implement architectural solutions

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to architectural standards

• Support the development and maintenance of application documentation

• Contribute to the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and tools

• Ensure application security and performance through best practices

Skill sets required:

Technical Skills

• Software Development: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python or .NET and understanding of software development life cycles

• Application Architecture: Basic knowledge of application architecture principles design patterns and best practices

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud1.

• System Integration: Understanding of system integration techniques and enterprise architecture principles

• DevOps and Agile: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and familiarity with DevOps practices

Business and Strategic Skills

• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business requirements and align architectural solutions with business goals

• Project Management: Basic project management skills to assist in overseeing the implementation of architectural solutions

• Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs

Soft Skills

• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to address architectural challenges

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with development teams and senior architects

• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and adapt to new challenges
