Paraprofessional Job Description (multiple positions varying hours)
The Mission
PODER Elementary is an innovative collegeprep school focused on proficiency. Student scores in the core subjects exceed national and state averages.
Position Summary
PODER Elementary is a smallschool environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy supporting students academic and social/emotional needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher
- Able to pass a background check
- Passion and/or experience working with ages 512
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required)
- Substitute License (not required but will be beneficial).
Responsibilities
- Provide small group and individual instruction conduct data review extra sanitation academic support classroom coverage & social/emotional support as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill students academic & social/emotional needs
- Be a selfmotivated team player ready to support needs of students staff and overall school
