Job Description

2025-2026 SPED Teacher - Immediate Interviewing!

We are currently looking for a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher with LBS1 certification to join our collaborative school team for theacademic year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs as they work toward academic social and developmental success in a welcoming and inclusive setting.

The ideal candidate will bring a team-oriented mindset and a commitment to building strong partnerships with families educators and support staff. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique goals and challenges.

Additional Highlights:

Serve as an advocate for students receiving special education services.
Adapt instruction to support a wide range of learning abilities and styles.
Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support the whole child.
Apply behavioral strategies to encourage positive social and emotional growth.
Create a classroom culture that promotes belonging respect and engagement.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field along with a valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education. A strong foundation in effective behavior management techniques is essential. While experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities is preferred excellent communication and collaboration skills are key to partnering with families and colleagues to foster student success.
