Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Chef de Partie for a luxury hotel based in George. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated and skilled individual with a passion for the culinary arts and a drive to deliver exceptional food experiences in a highpaced fivestar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present dishes to fivestar standards taking into account guest preferences and dietary requirements
Create artisan pizzas daily tailored to guest specifications
Contribute ideas and assist in implementing new revenue opportunities and menu developments
Support the Sous Chef with duties such as menu planning and researching culinary trends
Manage par stock levels conduct costing and oversee stock rotation and stock takes
Supervise train and motivate kitchen staff ensuring high performance and adherence to standards
Maintain operating equipment in good condition
Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols including cleanliness pest control recycling and waste management
Requirements:
Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
At least 6 months of formal chef training
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably within a 4star or 5star environment
Computer literacy in MS Office; SAP knowledge is advantageous
Physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of a fastpaced and pressurised kitchen
Willingness to work weekends public holidays and extended hours when required
Ability to work in varying weather conditions
