Job Description
We re seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Technician with a strong background in heavyduty rubber belt systems used in mining quarrying and other industrial environments. This handson role involves the splicing installation maintenance and repair of rubber conveyor belts across demanding and highload applications.

Perform hot and cold vulcanized splicing on heavyduty rubber conveyor belts
Install repair and maintain conveyor belt systems in field and workshop environments
Conduct belt tracking tensioning pulley lagging skirting and alignment
Use grinders presses vulcanizing equipment and mechanical fastening tools
Select appropriate belt materials and components based on operating conditions
Complete job site documentation including service reports safety checklists and labor records
Adhere to strict safety procedures and sitespecific compliance requirements
Travel to customer sites as required including mines processing plants and heavy industry facilities
Requirements
What We re Looking For:
Proven experience working with heavyduty rubber belts (mining quarrying or bulk material handling)
Proficient in hot and cold splicing techniques
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physically demanding work in challenging environments
Experience with belt sers rollers idlers pulleys and belt cleaners
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently or in a team
High commitment to workplace safety quality standards and customer satisfaction
Good communication skills and a flexible proactive attitude

Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of 3 years. Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Effective and efficient fault-finding and diagnostic skills. A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices. Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures. Sound computer skills. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures. Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired.
