Job Description

Responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and expand the companys market presence. This role involves researching and analyzing trends in the Battery and EV market.  Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients and develop strategies to penetrate this focus market. The Battery/EV Vertical Lead will collaborate with internal teams including product management key account managers sales marketing product development central & local departments as well as the Battery COC in Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in this market and an understanding of its sales and engineering cycles.  The candidate should also have exceptional negotiation skills and a proven track record of driving business growth.  Identifying and building the business case to support developing solutions sets with product management and application engineering teams for the Battery/EV market will be an important aspect of this role.   

By taking on the role of Vertical Lead for the Battery/EV Market you will play a pivotal part in driving the growth and success of our manufacturing company. Your strategic vision industry expertise and relationshipbuilding skills will be key in expanding our market presence and achieving our business objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and manage the strategic growth and market share for the Battery/EV market that align with customer needs. This would include conducting market research analysis and creation of business cases to support the investment required to develop solutions sets and prototypes.  Finding and securing prototypes on new platforms is a key driver for success in this role. 

  • Through customer facing efforts develop a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges within the Battery/EV vertical to effectively position DCs products and services. 
  • North American coordination of sales activities at Battery/EV customers and prospects. 
  • Act as a liaison to the central DC vertical organization with regards to product gaps strategic alignment and customer input.  Secure support via detailed business cases as needed. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends regulations and competitive landscape to strategically position the company in the market. 
  • Represent DCNA at industry events conferences and trade shows to network and promote brand visibility. 
  • Create sales and marketing materials and tools to enable sales success at target Battery/EV  customers. 
  • Work in close cooperation with Key Account Managers all Business Area and other sales functions for a coordinated approach to Identify and approach potential new clients to expand the customer base and drive sales growth. 
  • Training measures and requirements scale local expertise. 
  • The role demands a high level of interaction with various departments necessitating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a related field: Alternative 10 years of Industry experience. 
  • Proven experience in business development sales or a related role within the industrial goods or manufacturing sector. 
  • Strong understanding of industrial goods manufacturing processes and market dynamics. 
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools. 
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a datadriven approach to decision making. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic environment. 
  • Frequent travel to meet with clients partners and attend industry events 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
