The ROYAL CANIN Marketing Portfolio Manager as part of a team of business unit marketers will help lead the development and of annual product launches and campaign initiatives in the Pet Specialty Retail and Omni channel for our portfolio in new categories including supplements. This will include portfolio strategy setting priority range design and monitoring and reporting of performance trends. They will be responsible for increasing market share improving equity and increasing sales by managing all aspects of the marketing mix (product price place promotion) in the marketplace.
What are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in marketing or business or similar field. MBA or advanced degree a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in brand roles Brand Marketing or Digital/eCommerce.
- Previous experience in innovation management and managing budgets
- 12 years driving digital/ecommerce solutions.
- Experience setting brand/portfolio strategy and supporting assets for retailers and ecommerce channel
- Strong written verbal communication and organization skills with comfortability working in a crossmatrixed organization
- Less than 20 of travel anticipated domestic.

- Working in veterinary or Human Health
- Demonstrated success at working in an entrepreneurial environment a plus
What would be your key responsibilities
- Drives innovation pipeline product launch/disco and range prioritization to deliver a plan to support growth goals for assigned ranges.
- Manages local delivery of globally developed innovation for multiple portfolio ranges.
- Works with Global and Regional Innovation Managers to influence product pipelines and create products/claims and package design for the North American market.
- Develop monthly quarterly and annual product level marketing plans to drive growth and hit overall financial objectives.
- Supports innovation/renovation initiatives by providing estimate volumes and critical success factors
- Supports sales team needs including selling in and communication materials for innovation/renovation
- Leads Local Activity for innovation/renovation interfacing with multiple cross functional areas
- Partners with Global Marketing Global R&D Regional Marketing and Corporate Affairs to ensure that strategies are aligned with product level plans.
- Works with SEO and content teams to ensure that content development is tied to product strategy. Is responsible for final signoff of product level content and articles.
- Manages portfolio budget forecasts expenses and allocates spend based on ROI by activity.
- Understands the business model of retailers effectively manages agencies and understands how to leverage internal processes to drive opportunity for Royal Canin retailers and Pet Owners
