Job Description:
Term: Fall 2025 (September to December 2025
Length: 4 months
The Drug Reviews and Pharmaceutical Partnerships team supports the Sun Life pharmaceutical benefits strategy and is responsible for supporting the internal drug review process that informs drug listing decisions for Sun Life benefit plans.
What will you do
Working closely with the Senior Clinical Pharmacist and the Senior Health Economist the Pharmacy Student will:
Evaluate reimbursement submissions from pharmaceutical manufacturers
Review and critically appraise evidence supporting the therapeutic benefit of a drug
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate the potential economic impact of a drug to Sun Life benefit plans
Make drug listing recommendations for Sun Life benefit plans
Establish prior authorization criteria for highimpact where appropriate.
What do you need to succeed
Enrollment in a Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Strong knowledge and understanding of pharmacotherapeutics.
Strong clinical literature search and critical appraisal skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) presentation and documentation skills; able to convey complex information clearly and succinctly to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Proven planning and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
Selfmotivated and selfdirected with demonstrated accountability and leadership; able to make effective decisions and recommendations leveraging the team expertise and/or independently.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
