ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT
California State University Los Angeles invites applications for the above Administrator III position.

The Position: The Associate Vice President for Development is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the fundraising team under University Advancement division. Specific responsibilities include building a principal giving and major gifts program with designated assigned prospects and overseeing the activities related to principal giving and major gifts. These responsibilities include Presidentiallevel activities events stewardship and external engagement with alumni and friends of the university and oversight of principal giving as it relates to institutional priorities. The Associate Vice President will manage and oversee the fundraising team providing leadership and direction to achieve fundraising goals including developing department goals and objectives evaluating and streamlining processes to ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancy. The incumbent will be a member of the senior leadership team of University Advancement and assist the Vice President for University Advancement to foster a culture of high achievement and accountability and promote a culture of philanthropy across the campus.
Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum ten 10 years of progressively responsible for fundraising alumni engagement and management experience in advancement. The incumbent must have a valid California Driver License. The incumbent must have demonstrated success in closing principal and major gifts. The incumbent must have demonstrated successful experience working with internal and external constituents boards and foundations; leading managing and evaluating personnel; and managing budgets. The incumebent must possess personal integrity sound work ethics effective communication skills excellent interpersonal skills strong analytical skills and demonstrated success in cultivating soliciting and stewarding gifts. The incumbent must have knowledge and experience in implementing a principal and major giving program; experience in strategically setting goals and objectives; knowledge of best practices for principal and major gift fundraising such as standards related to donors and code of ethics and gift counting; and understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations. The incumbent must have the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with the campus community. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge and previous experience with estate/planned gifts or a planned giving program.
Experience with a capital campaign. Masters or doctoral degree.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $6891 $22119/monthly. (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $15000 $16250/Monthly). A comprehensive benefits package is provided.
Appointment: The Administrator III appointment will be made under the guidelines for management and supervisory employees of the California State University. All rights and benefits associated with this appointment are governed by the Management Personnel Plan.
