The principal responsibility of the Security Engineer is to deliver and support the state of Delawares security controls across its network systems applications and data. The Security Engineer will ensure that the assigned services e.g. Cloud network systems middleware endpoint and other security services are effectively configured deployed maintained and optimal to mitigate threats against the state.
The Security Engineer is expected to be technical with a strong background across a broad range of cybersecurity infrastructure including but not limited to Firewalls Endpoint Detection and Response tools (EDR) Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) Web Application Firewalls amongst others. The individual should be able to identify and resolve support incidents and to respond to threats against the associated systems.

Applicantsmust have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence ineach of the following areas:
Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint basedcriminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is requiredas a Condition of Hire.
