The Motivating Youth Recovery program is an intensive detox and stabilization program for adolescents struggling with addiction and cooccurring disorders. In this inpatient program our staff work as an integrated team to support youth as they work toward recovery. This program is staffed 24/7. This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic engaged and caring team that is focused on supporting clients and staff in developing their potential.Major Responsibilities:
1. Ability to observe document teach and respond to mental and physical health needs
2. Knowledge of program agency and licensing policies and procedures
3. Knowledge of crisis management and verbal deescalation techniques
4. Ability to complete all written documentation and coordination of shifts
5. Set up shift to include location and activities of all clients schedule appointments visits and collaborate on discharge planning
6. Ensure documentation is completed at the end of every shift and supervise staff in accurate and consistent reporting of client progress ensure that client shift summaries are included in the communication log
7. Notify program director of significant (urgent) events such as injuries altercations building or safety issues; and notify guardians of significant events.

Required:
1. Bachelors degree and experience supervising staff within a therapeutic milieu
2. Current valid US issued drivers license and a registered inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients in your own vehicle or a company vehicle
Preferred:
1. degree and/or coursework in social work counseling psychology or related field
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. At least 1 year of supervisory experience with knowledge about clinical mental health and positive behavioral supports
2. Demonstrated strong work ethic ability to work independently and ability to contribute to team objectives required
3. Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Background Check) and a DCF/CPS (Department of Families Adam Walsh/Child Protective Services background check)
Unless certification licensure or registration is required an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Departmentspecific competencies including agespecific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
