Job Description
Reporting to the Centre Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the overall management of daytoday operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.
Responsibilities
- Daily Duties include heating food preparing vegetables and starches cutting fruit portioning dishwashing and delivering food to the classrooms.
- Responsible for assisting the Cook in preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal including maintaining temperature logs.
- Complies with all health regulations and the companys best practices
- Follow proper washing and sanitizing procedures for all dishware after collection from classrooms
- Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule including dishwashing daily weekly and monthly duties
- Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time depending on the needs of the daycare.
What you need
- 1 2 years of Kitchen Assistantrelated experience
- High School diploma/GED equivalency required
- Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get one
- Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
- Valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Require clean criminal record check
- Ability to push pull and lift upto 45 pounds
