ROLE SUMMARY
The US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) is a key member of the US MA Medical Business Operations Team. They combine organizational expertise with an understanding of US MAs strategic priorities to ensure compliant and efficient of plans for both the US IM and Vx Medical Affairs organizations. Broadly their main objective is to:
Provide robust strategic operational and budgetary support to both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations.
To this end the US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) will provide:
Lead efforts on behalf of both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs Leads to establish / optimize / evolve the Medical team to ensure alignment and monitor efficiency effectiveness & compliance.
Independently lead implementation of new ways of working and ensure dissemination of change management communications for both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations and Operational Excellence teams when supporting the US IM & Vx Medical Categories.
Serves as key point of coordination and communication between US Medical Affairs Global Medical Affairs Operational Excellence Team and Medical Platforms.
Provide strategic guidance to both US IM & Vx Medical Affairs colleagues focused on the delivery of high priority projects and senior management requests.
Represent both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations in cross functional forums including with commercial teams.
Lead budget management and the Operating Plan development to ensure US IM & Vx MA resources are well balanced to meet strategic objectives both internally and externally.
Lead / Colead strategic initiatives focused on equity digital and critical scientific initiatives.
The US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) reports to the US MA Medical Business Operations Lead. They directly support both the US IM & US Medical Leads and their Leadership Teams.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) will provide operational support to both the US IM & Vx Medical Leads and partner with the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs Leadership Teams (LT) to ensure efficient functioning of the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations and drive its strategic direction
Governance
Support effective governance processes/meetings including US IM & Vx Medical Affairs LT and other medical governance committees.
Responsible for end to end fit for purpose governance planning/.
Provide thought partnership to both the US IM & Vx Medical Leads on key issues and topics.
Help address & coordinate resolution of requests from various stakeholders.
Work and align with key internal stakeholders to ensure consistencies.
Support both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs coordination efforts with Other Category Operational Excellence (including CrossCategory Operational Medical Forum).
Strategy Development
Lead efforts in partnership with both the US IM & Vx Medical Leads for development of 35 year US IM & Vx Medical Affairs Vision Strategy & Goals.
Provide thought partnership on strategic & operational issues / topics.
Lead and/or provide strategic direction for project teams on critical initiatives.
Define project scope set strategic goals/objectives & develop project plans with clearly defined milestones/metrics.
Drive change & transformations working collaboratively with both US IM & Vx Medical Affairs colleagues crossfunctional Category & other stakeholders as well as senior leaders to deliver actionable solutions to resolve complex challenges.
Effectively facilitate/influence complex & strategic conversations.
The US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) will guide the both the US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations to provide robust operational support for ensuring compliant & efficient functioning.
Operational and Budgetary support for both US IM & Vx Medical Affairs organizations
Lead annual Operating Plan for both the US IM & Vx Categories working closely with Medical Affairs colleagues Global MA Platforms Finance Commercial PHI and other stakeholders
Lead development of Operating Plan communication for both US IM & Vx Medical Affairs LT
Lead and oversee all budgetary IM & Vx US operations
Ensuring timely contracting and meeting all financial spend targets related to medical activities and projects
Lead resource forecasting and tracking to ensure spending is aligend with budget targets
Lead efforts for development of both US IM & Vx Medical Affairs specific transparent budget/resource planning and allocation algorithms/models as well as manage resource planning allocation & staffing
Lead planning/coordination of offshore resources as needed
The US MA Business Operations Lead PC (IM & VX/AV) will partner with both the IM & Vx Medical Affairs LTs to drive implementation of new ways of working
Represent in cross functional forums including with both the US IM & Vx commercial teams.
Lead communication between Global Medical Affairs Platforms and US IM & Vaccines Medical Affairs Organizations.
Respond to inquiries from US IM & Vx Medical Affairs Organizations on Global Medical Affairs platform services new ways of working and change management efforts.
Enhancing digital adaptation of technologies: Foster innovation by embedding digital adaptation and building strategy
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Bachelors degree required advanced degree (e.g. masters) highly preferred. Relevant experience required: 8 years with Bachelors degree; 7 years with Masters degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
8 years of experience in Project Management Business Operations
Prior experience in Medical Affairs is highly preferred.
>8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields
Previous people management experience preferred
Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies
Clinical Trial Experience preferred
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently with shown flexibility and organizational awareness
Ability to create & oversee complex projects including budget management & fiscal awareness
Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions including Medical (Customer Facing and HQ) Medical Information Corporate Communications Digital and Commercial
Must be decisive exercise good judgment in decisions organized and with the ability to prioritize a large workload.
Ability to manage resources programs and multiple projects.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
