Our Cost Estimation Office Division is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. This position provides a variety of critical business functions to a small but highly impactful team who are serving a large customer base of engineers and estimators throughout the Commonwealth.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Administrative and Business Support: Provide a variety of administrative support functions to assigned work unit. Interpret a variety of VDOT State and Federal policies and procedures in daily work tasks.
Fiscal and Budget: Coordinate financial and budgetary activities for assigned work unit. Prepare budgets monitor expenditures reconcile data and prepare reports.
Procurement: Develop coordinate and oversee Division or District specific contracts that support the delivery of the core program. Review invoices and vouchers make payments and reconcile data.
Training: Provides support with both inperson and virtual training events. This includes maintaining customer records scheduling events developing and posting announcement registering participants preparing / reviewing course content and attending events.

VDOT is an emergency operation agency. Positions physically working within Central Office locations may be designated upon request and coordination among the respective District Engineer or Administrator and Chief. Assignments are updated annually. Not all designated employees are provided an emergency operations assignment.
Once onboarded this position may be eligible for telework opportunities; availability hours and duration of telework shall be approved as outlined in the Commonwealth telework policy.
