712 certification in English requiredThis position will be responsible for implementing a rigorous reading and writing curriculum that prepares students for college readiness at the secondary level. Applicants should be familiar with the new Arkansas EnglishLanguage Arts (ELA) standards and frameworks. All teachers at Arkansas Arts Academy are required to incorporate arts integration into their curriculum and explore diverse assessments to provide students with multiple demonstrations of mastery. Teachers will participate in professional learning communities (PLC) and work with ELA teachers K12 for vertical and horizontal curriculum be required to complete 40 minutes a week of morning or afternoon duty as well as otherduties as degree and certification by the state of Arkansas for teaching 712 English. Responsibilities Teach individual students/groups in grades 712 focusing on growth in reading and writing skills. Organizes classroom to offer a positive and studentcentered learning environment. Plan lessons in relation to class and individual students goals and interests. Provide individual and smallgroup instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying abilities. Modify instruction assignments and assessments as needed for differentiation of learners. Evaluate students performance and growth in knowledge and ability and prepare progress discipline set class expectations with realistic rules of with parents and school counselors on student progress; maintain assessment records for each student and prepares reports as required by students to respect the classroom environment and properly care for all learning professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the school and/or in selfselected professional growth students for state and national regular and punctual operational policies and standards of professionalism and professional ethics; model integrity honesty and respect that promotes the culture values and mission of Arkansas Arts must possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to the Background/Maltreatment strong interpersonal skills and be able to work to learn quickly and adapt to new to connect with a wide range of students of different ages and how to make the learning process enjoyable and responsive to workrelated emails and phone calls during contracted departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.A positive fun and enthusiastic personality with a passion for teaching!Applicants are also invited to visit the AAA website to learn more about theschool and its program.
