Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Director of Quality:#1. Bachelors degree (fouryear college or technical school) Required.#2. SQF Practitioner status required.#3. 10 years in related functions and demonstrated ability to work well with executive leadership and multiple departments.#4. No more than 3 jobs in the past 10yrs. Responsibilities of the Director of Quality:Oversee risk assessments and implementation of preventative measures to maintain product safety and and maintain systems to assure facility meets all SQF certification requirements including commitment document control records specifications food safety and quality verification product identification trace and recall food safety fundamentals establish and implement training needs of personnel building design and construction HACCP and rerequisite manage and ensure compliance with the internal audit schedule conduct supplier results of internal food safety audits and participate in external with Operations Sales Supply Chain and the quality database audit production quality and customers standards system improvements and compliance by monitoring programs policies procedures SOPS audit documentation improvement plans that all Federal and State food legislation is maintained and and coordinate the testing of new items and product launches from production to shipping. Requirements of the Director of Quality:Bachelors degree (fouryear college or technical school) Required Field of Study: Food Safety Microbiology Chemistry Food Science or related field masters degree Practitioner status required. Knowledgeable of FDA and or USDA inspected manufacturers SQF Practitioner status required.10 years in related functions and demonstrated ability to work well with executive leadership and multiple years in a manufacturing environment under USDA and or years facilitating food safety and quality related training leadership verbal and written communication skillsCross collaborativeInterpersonal communication skillsSQF USDA FDA Audit experience.
