What you will do forHarris County Precinct 4 (HCP4

Harris County Precinct 4 is seeking an IT Intern with expertise in Microsoft Azure Intune and Active Directory to join our dynamic IT department. In this role you will assist with upgrading our computer fleet to Windows 11 and transitioning our endoflife iPhones to a modern Intunemanaged backend all while gaining handson experience in a live Azure and Intune environment. Additionally you will support our tech support specialists with tasks and tickets related to our Microsoft environments making this an excellent opportunity to enhance your technical skills while contributing to critical IT upgrades and improvements within the precinct.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
  • Assist with upgrading our computer fleet to Windows 11 and transitioning endoflife iPhones to a modern Intunemanaged backend gaining handson experience with live Azure and Intune environments.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets in a serviceoriented manner and support tech support specialists with tasks and tickets related to our Microsoft environments.
  • Set up new computers with user profiles and security and assist with Windows Active Directory user management.
  • Assist IT staff with mobile device management and install software and upgrades.
  • Support leadership in maintaining modernizing and growing the organizations technology infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Licensure:

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Highly computer literate while proficient in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra.
  • Exceptional clerical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Organized detailoriented and a skilled collaborator.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable selfstarting assigned and unassigned tasks.
