Position description
The Law Society is seeking a Summer Student to provide support to the various departments. The position resides in the Regina office.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Assisting with initiatives to advance the Law Societys Strategic Plan
- Assisting with meeting and event logistics
- Copyediting correspondence and communications
- Preparing and updating documents and surveys
- Digitizing documents
- Collaborating with other support staff and departmentsto provide coverage as needed
- Supporting stakeholder relations
- Providing information in response to queries
- Answering inquiries regarding the Saskatchewan legal system
- Making appropriate referrals within and outside the organization
Employment type
This is a fourmonth position from May 1 August 31 2025
Key competencies and qualifications
Qualifications
- Successful applicants will possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of either first year of university degree or diploma program
- Excellent attention to detail
- A sense of accountability and ownership for the final product presented
- Able to independently craft professional communications
- Able to work independentlyas well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills written and oral
- Comfort with computers and technology including experience with Microsoft products including Teams Word and Excel.
- Able to organize manage and problemsolve with a positive attitude
Lived experience as a member of an equityseeking/equitydeserving group will also be considered an asset.
Eligibility
Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and reside in Saskatchewan.
Compensation and benefits
Salary Range: $3600 $3800/month
