About the Role:

The Governments commercial team is a subsegment of the larger Corporates segment which is a high growth and entrepreneurial organization that values integrity collaboration and achievement. The team works closely alongside Customer Success Product and Marketing to plan and execute on our Client Engagement and Business Development strategies. The book of business is comprised of Federal Government Agencies Professional Services and Corporates in the DC metro area.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Oversee $68M book of business comprised of government agencies and DC based professional services firms
Run point on strategic planning for customer retention engagement and growth
Serve as S&P primary contact uphold a client first mentality working collaboratively across internal teams to ensure positive outcomes
Foster meaningful relationships by building trust and credibility with client contacts
Understand each clients business and be well articulated in conveying S&Ps broader value proposition identifying referral opportunities where appropriate
Negotiate and process renewals in a timely fashion understand/abide by the government contracting process
Travel monthly to visit clients in person attend conferences team planned client engagement events
Closely monitor usage data to inform outreach strategies track and share trends
Expand existing relationships by uncovering sales opportunities via additional user groups/add on products
Document all client comms via Salesforce/Salesloft maintain excellent CRM practices
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $102387 to $130000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What Were Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
5 years of experience in sales and/or relationship management roles
Strong Excel and Salesforce skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to travel to Washington DC at least 1x per month
Right to Work Requirements:
This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
