The Advanced Air Warfare Systems (AAWS) Directorate is Raytheon Advanced Technology Strategic Business Units (SBU) development team responsible for design and maturation of next generation air warfare weapons and integrated systems. The AAWS portfolio contains a collection of development CR&D and IR&D programs servicing a broad customer base spanning the major services and research labs. We are seeking an Associate Director to serve as Growth Program Manager for the portfolio reporting directly to the Senior Director.
This role is Onsite located in Tucson Arizona and requires frequent travel.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with Sr Director and integrated functional teams to develop new business capture strategies and then lead the capture and management of the resulting projects.
- You will work closely with R&C to shape customer requirements and offer solutions to their biggest problems.
- Lead the development of production infrastructure contracting and investment strategies for the portfolio.
- Plan and coordinate program transition activities to receiving SBUs.
- Responsible for management of portfolio CRAD and IRAD efforts.
- Responsible for management and reporting of portfolio NBI budget.
- Must be able to obtain additional program access.
- Travel frequently for customer engagements.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- Relevant business capture experience.
- Experience managing cost schedule and technical performance for programs with use ofprogram managementtoolssuch as EarnedValueManagementSystem (EVMS) IntegratedMasterPlan (IMP) IntegratedMasterSchedule (IMS)Riskand OpportunityManagement Scope Board or similar business processes.
- Experienceleadingcrossfunctionalteams including but not limited to: Engineering Contracts Finance Procurement/Supply Chainand/or Manufacturing/Operations.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Existing TS/SCI clearance.
- Demonstratedsuccesscreating and maintainingstrongexecutive levelrelationshipswith supplierscustomers government representatives primes and internal peers.
- Familiarity with Long Range Planning development in conjunction with customer requirements
- Experienceleading proposal efforts to include large value through corporate level gating processes.
- Experience with contract negotiations and executions with varying contract types (IDIQ OTA Etc).
- Experience leading missile development activities.
- Experience integrating systems on airborne landbased and/or seabased platforms.
- Experience with missile whole life considerations including but not limited to system safety and logistics.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Wellorganized with the ability to prioritize and manage a highmix workload (multiple projects at once).
- Familiarity with government acquisition process.
- Program Management Level 3 Certification or equivalent

The salary range for this role is 147000 USD 295000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
