JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Office of Sponsored Programs at Penn State is looking for an experienced individual for their team in the role of a Senior Associate Director (Lead Negotiator).
The Lead Negotiator will monitor all active contract negotiations in OSP identify at risk negotiations and collaborate with negotiators faculty and other administrators to identify creative solutions. This individual will collaborate with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and other University offices to identify bottlenecks and administrative obstacles (both internal and external to OSP) as well as opportunities for streamlining and policy improvement.
Responsibilities: This position will have the following key responsibilities:
The Senior Associate Director/OSP Lead Negotiator will be expected to crosstrain OSP Associate Directors in the performance of the above responsibilities and serve as OSP liaison to General Counsel Office of Industrial Partnerships Office of Technology Transfer and other offices as needed.
Education and Experience: The minimum qualifications are a Bachelors degree and 10 years of relevant experience which includes 5 years of supervisory experience.
Work Arrangement: This position is eligible to work remotely within the US. Standard work times are in EST.
