CGI has an opportunity for a Business Rules Analyst in an Agile and SAFe environment responsible for eliciting analyzing and documenting business rules and requirements to support the development and implementation of software solutions. The role involves working closely with stakeholders product owners and development teams to ensure that business needs are accurately captured and translated into functional specifications.
This preferred location is Fairfax VA. If you are located within 50 miles of a CGI Federal office a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business rules and requirements. Conduct interviews workshops and surveys to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business rules requirements and user stories. Ensure that documentation is clear concise and easily understandable by both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Agile Practices: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily standups sprint reviews and retrospectives. Work closely with the Scrum team to ensure that requirements are welldefined and prioritized.
SAFe Framework: Apply SAFe principles and practices to ensure alignment with the organizations Agile transformation goals. Collaborate with other Agile teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Facilitate communication and ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of project progress and any changes to requirements.
Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and of test plans and test cases. Ensure that business rules and requirements are accurately implemented and meet the needs of the business.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile and SAFe practices within the organization.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology or a related field.
Proven 37 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Rules Analyst in an Agile and SAFe environment. Experience with requirements elicitation documentation and analysis.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMIACP) or SAFe Agilist (SA) are preferred.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using Agile tools such as JIRA Confluence or similar.
Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban) and SAFe framework. Familiarity with business process modeling and requirements management tools

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for meritbased performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61900.00 $137100.00.
