Job Description
Montgomery County Public Schools has an opening and is accepting applications for a parttime Activities Director position that may be available in the division for theschool year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Principal the Activities Director provides administrative leadership in planning implementation coordination supervision and evaluation of athletic programs for the middle school. The Activities Director will promote extracurricular athletic activities that foster skills development understanding of sports and an appreciation for a variety of athletic activities and programs for middle school students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be age 21 or older
- Successful completion of the Virginia High School League (VHSL) required courses accessible at to organize multiple athletic events
- Ability to work with district and nondistrict organizations
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents students and school administrators
- Ability to motivate students
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current teacher or staff member of Montgomery County Public Schools
- Previous experience as a coach or athletic/activities director
- Current CPR certification
