Have you ever wanted to help lead satellite ground systems development efforts for a highperformance Low Earth Orbit constellation We are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer to support the of development efforts that will lead us to highrate production installation and monitoring of Kuiper ground systems equipment.
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
You will work with multiple suppliers and other Kuiper Engineering teams to ensure internal and external requirements are met for the development and production of Ground Gateway and TT&C terminals.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities In this role you will:
Work with multiple suppliers and other Kuiper Engineering teams to ensure internal and external requirements are met for the development and production of Gateway and TT&C terminals. Support the delivery of critical ground systems hardware in preparation for delivery launch and deployment.
Work with industry leading suppliers to ensure the delivery of the highest quality products Create plans that have clear measurable success criteria and clearly communicate progress and outcomes with leadership.
Relentlessly simplify and demonstrate significant innovation creativity and good judgment when solving challenging problems.
Drive best practices on the team deal with ambiguity and competing objectives and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior management.
About the team The Ground Systems team is developing globally located high data rate satellite communication terminals which operate off of automated software driven systems and which maintain critical connectivity from the ground to the complete Kuiper constellation. This team is driving the development deployment and longterm operability of Kuiper ground station terminals.
Experience in developing functional specifications design verification plans and functional test procedures Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical or similar Engineering field. 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience 3 years of hardware development experience
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production Masters Degree in Mechanical Electrical or similar Engineering field. Experience developing or managing RF or embedded systems
