Director Data Center Construction Ashburn VA
This opportunity is working directly with a leading missioncritical data center developer / wholesaler / Colo provider. This company provides turnkey data center solutions customfit to the requirements of their clients everchanging missioncritical facilitys operational needs. They accomplish this by providing reliability of missioncritical facilities for many of the worlds largest organizations (Hyperscale and Enterprise Customers). Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize multiple modular data centerconstructionprojects
- Put together Critical Facilities Construction Project plans size up costs scheduling timeline
- Maintain liaison with primary clientA/E firm Owners Rep firm and other vendors to facilitate construction activities
- Establish project objectives policies procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing rental equipment income/expenses) to protect the companys interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
- Manage overall success of the Project Management team
- Oversee all aspects of each project with varying levels of involvement
Qualifications:
- Experience managing teams running Data Center Construction Projects
- Extensive clientfacing experience and full ownership of multiple projects a MUST
- Experience managing multiple Data Center Construction Projects with Budgets between 50100 million
- Management of profit and loss and management of standards and best practices a must
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Business Development experience; previous experience creating RFPs and RFIs
- Solid Project management construction experience
- Experience with modular data centers a HUGE plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes EMN ETN MMNs Seabees Army Power Generation Air Force Power Production Generator Techs Maritime Coast Guard Army National Guard etc.
- Belong and attend professional organizations such as AFCOM ASHRAE 7x24 exchange PTC Datacenter Dynamics / DCD Uptime iMasons Bisnow etc.
