OUR ASSESSMENT PROCESS
This assessment type will evaluation the training experience and desirable qualifications you list on a questionnaire and assign a score based on a standardized scoring system. This part of the assessment is worth 100 of your total score and assesses: Professional/Technical Knowledge in the experience requested.
Applicants must meet the selection requirements and must achieve a passing score of 70 or higher on the assessment in order to be placed on the Eligible Register.
ELIGIBLE INFORMATION
Candidates who passed the assessment(s) are placed on a list in the order of their score group for a period of six 6 months. We will use this list to fill vacancies throughout County Counsel.
Applicants will be processed on an asreceived basis and promulgated to the Eligible Register accordingly.
RETAKE: NO PERSON MAY COMPETE FOR THIS EXAMINATION MORE THAN ONCE EVERY SIX 6 MONTHS.
NO WITHHOLDS OR OUTOFCLASS EXPERIENCE WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
VETERANS CREDIT
If you are a veteran you may be eligible for veterans credit which is an additional 10 of the total points added to a passing score. We will need a copy of your form DD214 to review so please include that with your application or email it toby the end of filing period.

The resulting Eligible Register for this examination will be used to fill vacancies throughout the Office of the County Counsel.
Passing this examination and being placed on the Eligible Register does not guarantee an offer of employment.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
All County Counsel employees are fingerprinted and subject to a criminal background check by the State Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Employment is contingent upon passing this background check. Jobrelated convictions as defined by County policy or the requirements of a sensitive position might result in a disqualification of the appointment.
