Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional candidate for a fulltime tenuretrack faculty position in tumor immunology. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD with expertise that complements existing center strengths. Research areas of interest include basic cancer immunotherapy tumor microenvironment cancer immunogenomics cancer immunemetabolism population based immunoomics immune monitoring & biomarker discovery cancer vaccines and systems biology. Competitive startup funds and faculty salary will be provided commensurate with level of experience. In addition wet laboratory space will be provided in the new openformat Healthy Kentucky Research Building which house the majority of cancer basic researchers and is in close proximity to stateoftheart research cores. The Markey Cancer Center is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center on the medical campus of the University of Kentucky. Situated on a campus with all six health profession colleges the cancer center is located within a vibrant and expanding basic clinical and population research community with ample opportunities for collaboration within and across its research programs (see for more information). Applications should include a curriculum vita as well as a cover letter with description of cancer research interests teaching philosophy and a discussion of future research plans.
