Job Description
The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a fulltime middle school classroom teacher. Our Middle School teachers have the opportunity to become part of a dynamic school community and would be responsible for instruction in all core subjects in a selfcontained classroom.
Essential Functions
- Create and implement lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan Course of Study utilizing techniques to motivate challenge engage and inspire students to think confidently and independently
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students
- Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement.
- Observe and assess student progress record such progress and share with parents as required by school policy
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communications in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in faculty meetings collaborative planning meetings retreats school committees and inservice learning opportunities
- Work collaboratively with other teachers staff and administration
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Education
- MSDE certification or the ability to obtain certification in one to two years
- Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary school level
- Familiarity with a variety of technology tools to enrich and differentiate instruction
- Practicing Catholic preferred
Range: $35000 $91000 Annualized
