Indiana University Bloomington School of Education Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology The Counseling Program invites applications for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor position. This will be a fulltime nontenure track 10month appointment (beginning 08/1/2023 in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology in the Indiana University Bloomington School of Education. This appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Position Description: The Counseling program is seeking a candidate who can contribute to our growing undergraduate Counseling and Student Services major and our undergraduate Counseling minor. Our ideal candidate will have a commitment to undergraduate teaching. Examples of undergraduate courses include Introduction to Counseling Psychology Positive Psychology Communication for YouthServing Professionals and Multicultural CounselingRelated Skills. The ideal candidate will be committed to social justice and diversity consistent with our programs statement of multicultural aspirations available here . Principal Duties/Responsibilities: Teach courses in Counseling and Student Services major and our undergraduate Counseling minor as well as other courses as needed. The position will maintain a 3 fall/3 spring courseload Supervise Associate Instructors who are teaching undergraduate courses Contribute to coordination of the servicelearning portion of the undergraduate curriculum Contribute to university school department and program related service activities such as interviewing applicants for doctoral and masters programs mentoring students advising masters students etc. Program Information: The Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs are housed within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The Counseling programs at IU include an undergraduate major undergraduate minor MPCAC accredited masters programs in mental health counseling and addictions and an APA accredited PhD program in counseling psychology.
