Job Description
The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor of Art a position which is renewable on an annual basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing classes and instructing students in 4 courses/ 12 hours per semester primarily 2D foundations and K12 Art Ed Pedagogy.
- Participation in service provide student mentorship make contributions to curriculum development assist in recruitment efforts and advising student groups.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience
- Masters Degree or Masters of Fine Arts Degree in 2D Studio Area
- University level studio teachingexperience in Foundations and or 2D studio area
Preferred Education and Experience
- K12 Pedagogy and teaching experience preferred.
- Graduate Teaching Experience
Job Type: Unclassified Faculty NonTenure Earning Renewable Annually
Appointment Length: 9month academic year with renewal based upon performance
Salary: TBD
