IMDb is the worlds most popular source for information on movies TV shows and celebrities. As an Amazon subsidiary we combine the resources of a global tech leader with the agility and autonomy of a small nimble team.
Were seeking a strategic Policy Program Manager to architect and oversee IMDbs global policy framework. This role sits at the intersection of content governance user experience and entertainment industry standards requiring someone who can balance multiple stakeholder needs while maintaining IMDbs reputation for accuracy and reliability.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Policy Leadership
Design and implement comprehensive content and platform policies that align with IMDbs mission and values
Lead policy modernization initiatives to address emerging industry trends and technological developments
Develop metrics and reporting frameworks to measure policy effectiveness and impact
Crossfunctional Program Management
Orchestra policy implementation across global teams including Legal Content Technology and Operations
Build consensus among diverse stakeholders through datadriven recommendations and clear communication
Partner with engineering teams to translate policies into actionable technical requirements
Risk Management & Compliance
Establish robust escalation frameworks for complex policy decisions
Create and maintain documentation for policy enforcement procedures
Ensure policies comply with regional regulations and industry standards
Process Innovation
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in policy enforcement
Design scalable solutions for policy management across IMDbs global platform
Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative data
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience in program or project management
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience defining and executing program requirements
Experience in driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience leading process improvements
Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes project management and schedules
