Your next career opportunity
As a Development Manager in our Estate Development team youll play a crucial role in driving strategic property initiatives that impact the universitys physical social and economic landscape. Youll lead complex projects from inception to delivery collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. This role offers you the chance to shape the future of education and research through innovative real estate development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Strategic Development Projects: Manage propertyrelated initiatives from concept to completion including financial modelling feasibility assessments and stakeholder management.
  • Drive Commercial Outcomes: Execute plans to maximise positive impact and business performance including due diligence procurement processes and negotiation of commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners influencing key decisionmakers and coordinating crossfunctional teams.
  • Oversee Project Performance: Monitor progress budget and scope for assigned projects providing highlevel reports to governance groups and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

You will be a great fit if:

You are an experienced property development professional with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline demonstrating strong commercial acumen project management skills and the ability to lead complex initiatives in a dynamic university environment.

You may also:

  • Possess postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive management experience.
  • Have a proven track record in managing property transactions and development agreements.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excel in coordinating major projects and strategic initiatives during development phases.
  • Show highlevel business acumen and the ability to translate strategy into project outcomes.
  • Have strong leadership skills including the ability to manage and motivate team members.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.

Your new team Corporate Development (CD)

The Corporate Development (CD) portfolios core objective is to advance University strategy and operations by sustainably driving increased institutional capacity and improving stakeholder experience.

The team is responsible for ensuring that the Universitys property infrastructure and financial assets/liabilities enable strategy and provide a meaningful competitive advantage. The CD teams key activities include strategy planning and performance monitoring of the Universitys estate; investment in and development of real property; enterprise portfolio management monitoring and reporting; strategic and capital investment planning and processes; oversight and reporting of financial investment portfolios; treasury and financial risk management; debt raising and management; commercial business development arrangement and ; sustainability strategy development planning governance and reporting; and project communications and engagement support.
