Job Description
Job Overview
The tutor works with students in grades K8 in small groups of students who need additional academic support.
Roles and Responsibilities
The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:
- The tutor works side by side with the classroom teachers and administrators to help studentsimprove academic skills in math and/or reading.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Teaching experience preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to relate to children teacher and other school staff
- Knowledge of educational evidencebased best practices in education
- Ability to keep and maintain accurate records and meet deadlines

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly talking expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
