Description

We are looking for people who have experience of working with children in a professional capacity to join our Childrens Residential Services within Walsall.

Residential Childcare Workers (fulltime and parttime posts) Ref:CH00325
Salary G6:prorata (plus 5 enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties)
Qualified starting salary 31067 (prorata for parttime hours)
Unqualified starting salary 29093 (prorata for parttime hours)

Hours: various 37 hours x 1 21 hours x1

Location: Various homes across the borough of Walsall this will be determined upon appointment.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

We are looking for people who have some experience of working with children in any setting to join our Childrens Residential Services within Walsall. We have a full time and a part time posts we are recruiting to .

This role requires you to be resilient resourceful enthusiastic and motivated to be a positive influence on our children.

All successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a team that provides 24/7 on a rota basis. These shift patterns may vary across the service but they willall include working weekdays weekends bank holidays and sleeping in duties (additional payment).

  • Qualified candidates will hold a level three/four qualification in childrens residential care or equivalent.
  • We also encourage applications from unqualified candidates who can demonstrate some experience whether this be employed or voluntary who have a passion for working with children.

The Role

  • As a Residential Childcare Worker you will be involved in providing direct care for children and expected to engage with children and their families and be highly ambitious in helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Our focus is directed towards a child centred approach where we actively promote childrens rights. We deliver our services in safe personalised small group homes where the care is aimed at supporting childrens welfare.

Our Homes can accommodate children up to their 18th Birthday. Due to the nature of this post employees must be at least 4 years older than the oldest resident. Therefore applicants must be 21 years of age or older
