Your Role: Field Service Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Service Technician to join the Scylla In Service Support Team maintaining and repairing complex Sensor Systems fitted to Collins class Submarines.

As a Field Service technician youll be responsible for maintaining and repairing state of the art equipment fitted to RAN ships submarines and landbased sites ensuring optimal performance. Your key focus will be on supporting Thales equipment fitted to Collins Class Submarines under the ISS Contract.

Permanent opportunity and based onsite at Rockingham WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful and professional conduct of maintenance and / or repair tasks
  • Leading the technical aspects of a maintenance task
  • Communicating with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers ensuring task progression and relevant issues are reported
  • Develop documents & capture of information within information systems relating to the conduct of maintenance and/or repair activities
  • Assisting the Inventory Management team to receipt packaging and despatch GFE/CFE as required

Your Skills:

  • Cert IV Electronic Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Certificate or training in Information Technology (networking) is desirable
  • Experience in fault finding including analysis and documentation of process and results.
  • Previous experience working within a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
