Location: Parkville
Role type: Parttime 0.8 FTE); Fixed term for 12 months

Salary: UOM 5 $83159 $95518 (prorata to parttime)

Your next career opportunity
As Communications Officer in the School of Culture and Communication youll play a pivotal role in transforming internal and publicfacing communications. Youll have the opportunity to develop new protocols craft executive communications and maintain digital platforms. Working closely with academic and professional staff youll gain invaluable experience in a dynamic university setting while enhancing your skills in strategic communication and stakeholder management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Communication Plans: Draft protocols and guidelines for effective communications across multiple channels within the School.
  • Manage Digital Platforms: Coordinate website uplift and maintain the Schools internal SharePoint ensuring content is current and relevant.
  • Create Professional Communications: Prepare internal and externalfacing communications for School Executive and professional staff including newsletters and change communications.
  • Support Transition Initiatives: Provide specific communications support relating to the Universitys Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program during the implementation period.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of communications support.

You are a skilled and succinct communicator with exceptional writing abilities strong organisational skills and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced academic environment.
You may also:

  • Possess demonstrable skill in preparing professional written communications across various formats.
  • Have experience developing and effectively using Microsoft SharePoint as a communications platform.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisation and time management skills capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Show commitment to accuracy and appropriate tone in written communication.
  • Align with the Faculty values and contribute positively to the culture of the School.
