Tennyson Centers Residential Program focuses on meeting the individualized needs of children and adolescents. The program integrates social emotional behavioral and academic learning and growth. Our goal is to create an environment where children and adolescents feel safe and supported to heal and develop the necessary skills to succeed in a less restrictive setting. Tennyson Center is seeking a qualified licensed mental health Clinician to provide individual family and group therapy in addition to clinical case management and crisis management to children and adolescents approximately 518 years old in a residential setting. Additionally Clinician is responsible for the supervision and oversight of at least one other candidacy or provisionally licensed Clinician which includes oversight of the therapeutic treatment for all children and adolescents in programming.

Essential Job Functions

  • Interest in working with children and adolescents who may have had exposure to traumatic or adverse experiences and who have an intellectual disability developmental disability or diagnosis of Autism.
  • Conducts individual family and group therapy services.
  • Works collaboratively from intake to discharge with internal and external multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and continuity of care for clients and families.
  • Provides clinical case direction and recommendations to Youth Treatment Counselors and other professionals involved in the care of the child or adolescent as appropriate.
  • Facilitates monthly external staffing meetings and internal child team meetings.
  • Maintains up to date documentation and overall quality assurance for assigned clients.
  • Maintains the highest standard of cultural competency in all dealings with clients and staff.
  • Must be willing to support clients in times of crisis.
  • Provides direct supervision to at minimum one candidacy or provisionally licensed Clinician and/or clinical intern along with as needed group supervision.
  • Provides training to Clinician(s) on utilization of therapy models interventions as well as administration and integration of assessment into treatment planning. In addition to providing training and guidance to direct care staff on treatment interventions and needs.
  • Review direct reports clinical and treatment documentation for the clients and ensure timely documentation turn around and quarterly chart audits are completed and that documentation is in compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Participates in relevant supervisor meetings weekly.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure consistent implementation of best practice across all day treatment services.
  • Manage all personnel functions in coordination with HR.

Other Job Functions

  • Participates in allagency meetings and training opportunities.
  • Willingness to employ alternative therapeutic interventions including but not limited to art music experiential activities and animalassisted intervention.
  • Support of clinical interns as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to implement behavioral management techniques as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Oncampus environment school based and residential treatment setting.
  • Position required to be onsite 100 of time.
  • Minimal travel may be required.


Minimum Qualifications

  • LCSW LPC or LMFT required.
  • Maintains active professional licensure in good standing with Colorados Department of Regulatory Agency (DORA).
  • Postgraduate work experience treating children adolescents and families is preferred.
  • Experience with family systems theory crisis intervention and case management with underserved populations.
  • All candidates must have or qualify to obtain a current Colorado drives license.
  • All positions require criminal CBI background check FBI fingerprint check State of CO child abuse check DMV driving record check preemployment drug test preemployment physical academic credential verification and reference check.
