As part of Advertising Trusts Policy & Integrity team you will have high visibility across Amazon business lines establishing the right customer experience and longterm strategy for the success of Amazon Advertising. Key job responsibilities
Support policy creation and design to ensure moderation at scale using a combination of human moderation and machine models.
Work with product teams to ensure policy compliance for developing ad products.
Maintain support relationships with sales and internal teams.
Identify teams and businesses within and outside of Amazon Ads who are solving the same problems and build mutually beneficial relationships.
Activate and maintain a rapid incident response mechanism for high risk escalations.
Assist in the of policy leadership initiatives and vision by doing all we can to ensure teams are set up for success.
Use feedback signals to make policy changes to support evolving business risks.
A day in the life
In a typical day a Policy Manager will review content for compliance with our ad policies in categories that require deep research and awareness of current and emerging events. They will develop knowledge in locale specific requirements and make decisions that consider cultural and societal norms. They will be build policy recommendations based on assessing risk across multiple risk vectors. They will identify areas for collaboration resource sharing and escalation management coordination between multiple teams across Amazon that work in the same space in order to bring consistency to our advertisers and shoppers.
About the team
The Ad policy team owns global ad policies across all Ad products and Amazon Publishers. This dynamic team is an integral part of how we support Amazon Advertising and as such has touch points across multiple areas of our business. We make a customer impact with every ad we serve and pride ourselves on doing so with a customer centric focus.
3 years experience in content moderation or similar field 3 years experience in advertising or advertising policy Experience working with Public Relations Legal or Public Policy teams Ability to lead and work effectively with cross functional groups. Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior management. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels including senior leadership.
Masters degree law degree or MBA. Proven experience driving engineering projects. Proven experience working with metrics and data analysis. Proven experience working on digital advertising in a regulatory position. Proven experience with creative acceptance policies advertising standards or a related field. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
