Job Description
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe engaging and educational environment for young children. She/he develops ageappropriate lesson plans encourages social and emotional growth and foster a love for learning through interactive activities. The Preschool Teacher works closely with parents staff and administrators to ensure the wellbeing and development of each child while instilling Catholic values.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
- Encourage social emotional cognitive and physical development through playbased and structured activities.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe learning environment.
- Observe and assess childrens progress documenting milestones and areas for improvement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding childrens progress and any concerns.
- Support childrens independence problemsolving and conflictresolution skills.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding child safety and early childhood education.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Maryland State Certification in early childhood education
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting.
- Strong communication patience and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Understanding of child development and best practices in early education.
- Team Player
Pay Range: $45000 $60000 Annualized
