Job Description
St. Joseph School Cockeysville is seeking highly qualified candidates for the ELA teacher position for the 2526 School Year. The successful applicant should demonstrate knowledge and communication of subject matter competency to students in grades 4 through 8. The teacher is responsible for creating a system of positive discipline and classroom order where all students can learn with success and joy. A willingness to commit to and collaborate on behalf of student growth and success is essential.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines that motivate challenge and engage students
- Assessment and grading including the use of PowerSchool
- Classroom management and all duties assigned to this teacher
- Participation as part of the faculty in all meetings and activities
- Integrate technology where appropriate to enhance instruction.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or English or related field
- MSDE Certified
- Knowledgeable in technology use and integration
- Knowledge of curriculum instructional methods/strategies and curriculum differentiation
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
Range: $Annualized
