HID Global is seeking an innovative and proactive Associate Materials Engineer to join our SI Engineering team in Eden Prairie. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for materials design and development particularly in creating and qualifying consumable products for identification card printers. Youll collaborate with engineers and suppliers conduct datadriven problem solving and help drive material performance improvements.

As our Associate Materials Engineer youll support HIDs success by:
Working as a liaison between suppliers and designing engineering to specify developing scaling up and implementing new product consumables
Teaming up with engineers and suppliers to improve performance of current materials
Participating in problem solving activities to help determine root cause
Generating thorough test plans and collecting experimental data
Performing data analysis and generating lab reports to document the results
Providing technical recommendations based on data
Cultivating and maintaining strategic customer and supplier relationships

Your Experience and Background include:
Bachelors Degree in chemical engineering materials engineering or materials science or equivalent experience
0 2 years of chemical or materials engineering experience
Process engineering experience (preferred)
