About the Opportunity

Northeastern Universitys College of Social Sciences and Humanities invites nominations and applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Full Professor. Academic rank at the Associate or Full Professor level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a record of substantial research productivity and an established history of grant support teaching and academic service.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will focus on understanding and analyzing the macroeconomics of trade global economic interdependence economic security and statecraft sustainable development and/or environmental economics. We seek candidates whose research seeks to understand the complex interplay between economics politics and policy in shaping global economic outcomes with an emphasis on anticipating and addressing emerging challenges to international economic security and/or climate will be required to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Responsibilities will consist of conducting and publishing research teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in macroeconomics advising students and participating in department college and university service activities. The search is open to discipline but with a preference for Economics (especially macroeconomics) and/or Public Policy. This appointment could also include a joint appointment in another department or college.

Pay Range:

Assistant Professor: $128000 $143000 Associate Professor: $144000 $187000 Professor: $198000 $257000

With the pay range(s) shown above the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include your education experience location knowledge and expertise and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarlysituated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
