Job Description

Fulltime 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

General Summary

The Unit Clerk works under the direction of the licensed professional nurse and/or Clinical Manager to perform secretarial/clerical duties associated with clinical nursing.  The unit clerk is responsible for communication and other general clerical duties of the nursing unit.  The unit clerk must be able to organize and handle a multiple task environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills and a calm demeanor.


Qualifications :

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.  
  • One year health care facility experience preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Highly effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels hospital staff patients visitors and levels of staff.
  • Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Computer skills required;  knowledge of  Microsoft office to include  Word and Outlook
