Job Description

Nuclear Med Tech (Permanent Role)

Location: Marble Falls TX 78654
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
Quality Assurance
  • Perform high-quality planar SPECT and SPECT/CT imaging per protocol.
  • Ensure imaging meets compliance and quality standards.
  • Conduct required Q.C. tests and collaborate with physicists/engineers for equipment performance.
Patient Care & Communication
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures.
  • Assess patient tolerance and adjust care accordingly.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant communication.
Safety & Procedure Management
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Prepare patients and procedure areas using proper aseptic/sterile techniques.
  • Maintain consistent hand hygiene and patient safety.
Key Success Factors:
  • Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Communicates effectively with medical staff and emergency teams.
  • Maintains current knowledge and training across all age groups (newborn to geriatric).
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Stays calm and solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through professional courteous service and minimal wait times.
  • Supports onboarding and training for new staff and students.
  • Adheres to system policies workflows and documentation standards (PACS EMR image exchange etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems related to medical imaging.
Certification / License Requirements:
  • Required:
    • ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
      OR
    • CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
