Job Description
The MetaDor team part of Amazons BuilderWorks organization collects and analyzes metadata related to data usage across Amazon. Our services map servicetodata relationships infer schema and generate insights for Amazon service teams that influence data regionality decisions and performance versus efficiency tradeoffs.
MetaDor is a critical service informing Amazons region flexibility data migration strategy. Teams rely on MetaDors insights to guide them through complex and ambiguous data migrations.
As a senior engineer you will serve as the technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle endtoend from scoping planning conception design implementation and testing to documentation delivery and maintenance. Provide design reviews for other engineers including feedback on architecture and design issues as well as integration performance and scalability. You will design implement and maintain a highlyavailable faulttolerant and distributed metadata management service.
5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $150700/year up to $251700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
